The Veterans Day Breakfast is our opportunity to honor the family members and friends who have served or are serving our country. All students related to any veteran(s) are invited to attend the breakfast and ceremony. If there is a veteran or member of the military in your family who can join us, please complete the attached form no later than October 28th.
In addition to our welcome breakfast and ceremony, we are inviting our veterans to meet in small, “town hall meeting” groups with our students to participate in a more intimate gathering to share stories about their experiences, display artifacts, and answer questions from our students.
The Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, Talent Search 2014, is currently accepting registrations for the SAT (or ACT). The purpose of the Talent Search is to identify and assess the academic abilities of highly able students. To qualify for the Talent Search, a student must have scored in the Advanced Proficient level (250 and above in the English Language Arts or Mathematics) on the 2014 NJ ASK. Additional information can be found on the Johns Hopkins website: www.cty.jhu.edu/talent. If you would like to have your student participate in this program, please apply to the Talent Search online or contact Johns Hopkins directly at 410-735-6278.
The decision to participate is strictly up to each student’s parent/guardian and this program does not have any impact on academic placement at the middle school level, nor is it an endorsement of Johns Hopkins University.
